Classical Music for Kids or any type of music for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers is so important!
Why? There are endless benefits of classical music for kids; Jazz, opera, folk, rock (some), cultural, children's, kids Christian music- Just to mention a few types of music, there are SO MANY MORE kinds to experience! It is as simple as using music kids love! The advantages are endless and they are for everyone at your daycare home- infants, toddlers, preschoolers and YOU included! They NEED music education! One awesome way to expose them to music is to use music games for kids. I’ll go into more details of “why” after I tell you “how”!
When you care for an infant, you want to expose them daily to music and it’s really an easy thing to do by:
Even if you are the worse singer in the world, SING! And don’t just sing the “abc” song and change it up by singing “Twinkle twinkle little star”… it’s the same melody! Sing something different- choose a variety of songs! Maybe hum some music for kids!
Dance, lightly bounce to the music or catchy rhymes that are repetitive.
If you are singing or humming to them, they may imitate you with different ranges in their little voices, like they are trying to sing a song.
That sounds a little strange, doesn’t it? But if you see a baby smile when they hear you sing or you play a song ask them “Does this music make you happy?” or a quiet classical music for kids… whisper “This is a quiet song so we can go to sleep.” Or if you are a Christian you could use Christian music for kids and whisper "This is how we pray."
