Your own sick kids

my daughter is sick today i did give myself vacation time in my contract. do i use vacation time or not since my daughter is sick and they had to find other child care?

Answer
If you want to use your vacation time for a special vacation and if you can afford to take a day off without pay then I wouldn't use it for illness, yours or your child's. You will need that time to be away from the business and to recharge your batteries. Your parents should not expect you to use vacation time for illness anymore than they have to use it for theirs.
